Rooibos Tea and Spices.

Rooibos is Afrikaans for "red bush." Grown in South Africa's Cederburg Mountains and harvested during the summer this tea acquires its unique red color as a result of fermentation (in mounds) and oxidization when it is spread out to dry in the sunlight; naturally it is green.



Rooibos is known for its health benefits stemming from its rich content in vitamins antioxidants flavanoids and minerals (inter alia magnesium calcium iron copper zinc potassium fluoride manganese and alpha-hydroxy) and has a long tradition of medicinal use among the local Native population; among other things it is known to help cure asthma hay fever and other allergies acne eczema colics indigestion insomnia and nervous tension. Containing very few tannins and no caffeine rooibos has a distinctive aroma and amber color.



This tea blends well with various spices and condiments; my favorite mixture is a delicious loose leaf blend sold by my local tea store which features orange peel cinnamon grated coconut finely minced chili and red pepper. For a more commercial alternative though Tazo's Red Bush tea is a great choice as well: a rich exquisite blend of rooibos hibiscus orange peel rosemary several lemon ingredients (lemon myrtle verbena and balm) as well as a number of sweet spices. Tasty and economical!!!

I fell in love with flowering green teas from our local tea shoppe but I was very dismayed with the price ($4/ball!!!).



I was elated to find this listing since it amounts to about $1.50 per tea ball and it tastes great better than what we get at the fancy store. It has a light delicate flavor that doesn't get bitter at all! You can make five pots of tea without degradation of flavor or any increase in bitterness.

I really enjoy this tea. It's as stimulating as coffee but it taste better. I will drink tea instead of coffee any day. Guayaki seems to be a good brand. I visited the company's website. Guayaki is the strongest Yerba Mate' that I have tried. I strongly recommend this to anyone seeking an alternative to coffee. Descriptions of the tea suggest that it also promotes mental awareness. This is the real thing

This is the product you will find on the grocery shelves in the supermarkets in South Africa. Having lived there for a number of years and traveling there frequently I always try to bring back a couple of boxes of this. If you haven't tried Rooibos tea you owe it to yourself to give it a try. Great Product

I have been taking Fenugreek to increase my milk production but I haven't noticed much of a difference. I started drinking the Organic Mother's Milk Tea twice a day and I noticed an increase in production in one day. This is a great product! I only wish I had tried it sooner! Best Green Tea!

I never liked green tea. I always found the taste terrible and bitter when compared to black tea. And even though I have tried to acquire the taste for green tea by trying many different varieties I have always been unsuccessful until... I was introduced to this Japanese tea.
